  • Your votes, when you vote on features.
  • Ideas you send us, including the title and description you provide. Please don't include personal, sensitive or financial information in your ideas.

We do not intentionally collect special category personal data through the Build Lab. Please don't include health information, political opinions, religious beliefs or other sensitive personal information in feature ideas or other free-text fields.

We do not use advertising trackers, advertising pixels or behavioural advertising on the Build Lab.

Why we use your information

We only use personal data when we have a lawful basis for doing so.

Running the Build Lab

We use your email address and profile information to create and operate the Build Lab account and services you ask us to provide. Our lawful basis for this processing is contract, because it is necessary to provide the Build Lab service you choose to use.

We use your votes and ideas to operate and improve the Build Lab and help decide what NetQuiid should build. Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interests in understanding what prospective users find useful and developing NetQuiid based on community feedback.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether the processing is necessary and proportionate and balance our interests against your rights and interests.

Sign-in and confirmation emails

We use your email address to send emails that are necessary to create, confirm, access or secure your Build Lab account.

These are service emails rather than marketing emails.

Launch and feature emails

We will send promotional emails about the NetQuiid launch or features only when you have actively chosen to receive them.

Our lawful basis for using your personal data to send these emails is your consent.

The marketing checkbox is optional and is not selected by default.

You can join and use the Build Lab without agreeing to marketing emails.

You can withdraw your consent at any time through your account or by using the unsubscribe option provided in our marketing emails.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before you withdrew it.

Product decisions

We use aggregated voting information and submitted ideas to understand what people would like NetQuiid to build.

Public voting information shows totals rather than identifying individual voters.

Community votes help guide our decisions, but we may also consider safety, privacy, feasibility, cost and usefulness.

Security and abuse prevention

We may process limited technical information where necessary for our legitimate interests in keeping the Build Lab secure, preventing spam, detecting misuse and maintaining the service.

Consent and suppression records

We keep appropriate records of marketing choices so that we can demonstrate and respect those choices.

If you unsubscribe or object to direct marketing, we may retain the minimum information necessary on a suppression list so that we can continue to respect your preference and avoid sending you marketing again.

A suppression record is not used to send you marketing.

We don't sell your personal data

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not provide your personal data to advertisers for behavioural advertising.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating the Build Lab, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, maintaining security and respecting marketing preferences.

Your Build Lab account information, display name, votes and ideas are generally kept while your account remains active.

If you delete your Build Lab account, we will delete or anonymise personal data associated with the account unless we need to retain limited information for a legal, security or compliance reason.

Where technically appropriate, deleting an account will also remove that account's votes from public vote totals and delete ideas associated with that account.

Marketing suppression records may be retained after account deletion where necessary to make sure we continue to respect an unsubscribe request or objection to direct marketing.

Technical and security logs are retained only for an appropriate operational and security period determined by the service providing those logs.

We will review our retention periods as the Build Lab and NetQuiid develop.

Your choices and rights

UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal data. Depending on the circumstances, these can include the right to:

  • Access personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Restrict how we use your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Object to certain processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Receive certain personal data in a portable format where the right to data portability applies.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on your consent.
  • Object to direct marketing at any time.

Once the Build Lab account system is active, your account will provide tools for managing your profile, marketing preference, data export and account deletion.

You can also contact us at support@netquiid.com.

We normally respond to valid data protection requests within one month, although the law allows additional time in certain circumstances.

Deleting your account

When account deletion becomes available, you will be able to request deletion from your account.

Account deletion is intended to remove your Build Lab account and associated personal information from the active service.

Some limited information may need to be retained where we have a lawful reason to do so, for example to comply with legal requirements, protect the service or maintain a marketing suppression record.

Any information retained for these limited purposes will not be used to continue operating your deleted Build Lab account.

Service providers and international transfers

We use service providers to operate the Build Lab.

These may include:

  • Supabase, for Build Lab database and authentication services once the Build Lab backend is connected.
  • Our email delivery provider, for account, confirmation and permitted marketing emails once email delivery is configured.
  • Lovable and its infrastructure providers, for developing and operating the website.
  • Cloudflare, for domain, DNS, security and related infrastructure services.

These providers process information only for the services they provide to us and are subject to their own contractual and data protection obligations.

Some providers or their subprocessors may process personal data outside the United Kingdom.

Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

We will update this policy if the providers we use materially change.

Cookies and local storage

The Build Lab does not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.

We do not currently use optional analytics cookies on the Build Lab.

When account functionality is enabled, strictly necessary technologies may be used to keep you signed in, protect your session and provide features you request.

These technologies are used only where necessary for the service to work.

If we introduce optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential storage or tracking technologies in the future, we will provide appropriate information and obtain consent where required before those technologies are used.

Children

The NetQuiid Build Lab is intended for people aged 18 and over.

Please don't create a Build Lab account or submit personal information if you are under 18.

Contact and complaints

If you have questions, concerns or requests concerning your personal data, contact support@netquiid.com.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator.

You can find information about making a complaint at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Build Lab and NetQuiid develop.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

If we make a significant change to how we use personal data, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
